We're recruiting for Key Operative Quality Controllers to join our busy, fast paced manufacturing site in Thrapston. In this role you will routinely check products to ensure that the product and product packaging is correct from a food safety and legality perspective.
Reporting into a Technical Shift Manager you will be responsible for:

- Recording information on relevant systems in order to demonstrate traceability and due diligence
- Escalating non-conformances which will affect Food Safety or legal compliance, to prevent product withdrawals/recalls
- Checking product quality and compliance through raw material assessment
- Completing first checks on production and recording these checks onto the android/paperwork
- You will complete end of shelf life product assessments and assist with investigations with regards to food safety and quality incidents

**The hourly pay rate is £10.70 per hour, or £401.25 per week based on full time hours of 37.5 hours per week.**

About You
As well as the ability to work in a fast paced environment you will:

- Previous manufacturing and food handling experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be given
- Food Safety Level 2 is desirable
- HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) Level 2 would be advantageous
- Working with varying temperatures of approx. 8 degrees and below
- Understanding of British Retail Consortium (BRC) and customer Code of Practice (COP)
- Basic maths, Google Suite and excel skills
- Quality Control and understanding of product allergens is highly desirable
