Stonemason

**Job Summary**:
We're in search of a skilled Stonemason to join our team. As a Stonemason, you'll take charge of constructing and repairing stone structures, including walls, floors, and monuments. Your mastery of various materials and tools will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Examine drawings, photographs, and specifications to ascertain project requirements.
- Mark and cut stone using hammers, mallets, and hand or pneumatic chisels.
- Utilize hand and power tools to shape, trim, carve, cut letters into, and polish stone.
- Level, align, and embed stone in mortar, concrete, or steel frames to create and repair structures.
- Cut, shape, and polish stones to precise dimensions.
- Lay out patterns or designs on stone surfaces using measuring and marking tools.
- Operate hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and smooth stones.
- Install stone structures on roofs or elevated surfaces.
- Repair or replace damaged stones in existing structures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in carpentry techniques pertinent to stonemasonry.
- Strong understanding of bricklaying, masonry, and welding techniques.
- Familiarity with an array of hand tools and power tools utilized in stonemasonry.
- Ability to interpret blueprints or construction plans to determine project specifications.
- Keen attention to detail and precision in executing stonemasonry tasks.
- Physical endurance to work outdoors and handle heavy stones.
