The Role

As part of the Production team, the Cell Leader’s role will be to provide support to the Team Leader through the organisation of resources within the area on a day to day basis whilst carrying out a production role.

The Cell Leader will support the Team Leader to ensure the timely and efficient manufacture of product to appropriate service, quality and cost, whilst ensuring the continuous improvement of the area in line with site and individual objectives.

Ensuring they lead by example, supporting and driving the ‘Our Promise’ philosophy. They will also Deputise for the Team Leader in their absence, and provide support to the Business in being responsible for the site out of hours, on a day to day basis.

Key Responsibilities ? Ensure overall achievement of Business and Department objectives as measured by the Key Performance Indicators. ? Support the Production Leadership Team to meet and maintain production operations and processes in line with the HT’s quality, environmental, safety and housekeeping standards. ? Support the Production Leadership Team to ensure compliance and adherence to company procedures. This includes employee welfare, motivation and morale. Tools include: communication, fairness, performance management, appraisals, absence management, disciplinary, timesheets, holiday schedules, etc ? Progress works orders and report status to Team Leader including material shortages / machine problems etc? Order materials for shop floor from stores to ensure operators can fulfil works order requirements on a daily basis. Participate in cycle count / stock accuracy activity. ? Report breakdowns and machine faults through tag and pirana system. ? Ensure operators are trained to perform tasks competently and that they understand work specifications and quality requirements. Support the Team Leader to ensure the team is multi skilled and able to respond to customer demands. Ensure training documentation and records are complete and up to date. ? Report health and safety issues to Team Leader and participate in solving problems. ? Initiate and take part in improvement activities including attending Continuous Improvement (CI) meetings. Suggest and Support appropriate initiatives which support the longer term development of the manufacturing operation. This includes involvement with, and to support cross functional teams to trial and introduce new products and equipment into the business. Promote - cost reduction, efficiency improvements, ideas to promote savings and improve customer service levels. ? Day to day problem solving to ensure production activities are kept running as necessary. ? Carry out works order booking transactions on Aurora. ? Support 5S activities maintaining a clean and organised work area and site overall.

? Ensure product quality standards are achieved and checks carried out as necessary. ? Provide support across production as required including all tasks as per operator. ? Allocate resources as necessary to achieve daily targets. ? Be first point of contact for any issues on site outside of normal working hours, including any incidents and following the substance mis-use procedure and guidelines. ? Report any resources and policy issues to production management. Where appropriate take responsibility for on-site security and locking up. ? Embrace a team working approach, ensuring close liaison with all relevant internal departments in order to adopt a considered and rational approach to decision making and problem solving. ? Participation and support in managing and driving change, involving employees in any change programmes.

Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications ? Proven high level of hands on manufacturing capability. ? Ability to work as part of a team. ? IT skills essential. ? Good IT skills particularly Excel, Word and Outlook. ? Experience of working with quality standards e.g. ISO9001 & ISO14001 ? Positive approach and solution focused. ? Must be reliable. ?
