Management Accountant

This business is a family owned commercial business, secure, profitable with a turnover of circa 60 million. Their head office is in Blackburn but also have two other sites in the North West. They have just appointed a new FC and as such are now lookingto appoint a Management Accountant to take control of the monthly accounts.
This management accountant job will be supported by 3 transactional clerks, but will not have management responsibility for them. You will be responsible for producing the monthly P&L's for their individual sites and cost centres with an overarching consolidatedmonthly P&L and management reporting. Typical duties will include monthly journals, fixed asset maintenance, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining contract schedules, ad hoc project work and supporting the transactional staffwhen required.
The finance systems are currently being reviewed with the FC streamlining processes making better use of the systems in place. You will work in a team of 7, all of which are settled and stable in their roles with a good team atmosphere and friendly 'banter'.
The successful person will be AAT qualified, with experience producing monthly accounts happy to 'muck in' other areas including providing transactional support when required. The business is constantly growing and there is scope for expansion with the teamworking at capacity.
The Financial Controller is a real selling point to this job, she is kind, caring and supportive in her management style whilst also being an extremely professional and impressive qualified accountant always willing to go the extra mile for her team whooperates a team focused mentality entirely.
Working full time on site daily in Blackburn, there is some flexibility to your start and finish times but cover may be required for holidays. This Management Accountant job will pay up to £40,000 in annual salary, but this dependant on experience and qualifications.There are enhanced benefits including holidays.
