**Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Maternity Leave Cover 6 months to start)**

**Hours: Monday to Friday Full time 40 hrs 8.00am-4.30pm**

**Hourly Rate: £11.44**

**Reporting to - Warehouse Supervisor/Manager/Director**

**Main purpose of the role**

We are a family run pharmaceutical company and have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Operative, to join our team, covering maternity leave.

**Warehouse Operative Duties**: The post holder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks from checking goods in / out, and picking orders for our pharmacy shops, customers and clients.

Attention to detail and a positive work ethic is essential to the smooth running of the warehouse allowing for orders to be filled and despatched to customers in a timely fashion. The post holder will be working with over the counter products and prescription drugs.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Responsible for receiving deliveries and booking the goods in on the computerised stock control system.
- Ensuring deliveries are properly checked against delivery notes and discrepancies highlighted to main office point of contact.
- Delivery is as ordered and complete
- Delivery is checked for short dated, damage, miss picked - incorrect size /quantity
- Any anomalies are addressed and resolved
- Returns are despatched in a timely fashion
- Responsible for placing booked in stock in the correct tote in designated shelving area with attention to detail observing stock rotation, highlight any damaged items.
- Responsible for printing off shop and internet orders.
- Responsible for picking orders.
- Responsible for packing or packaging orders for despatch to pharmacy shop or postal / courier delivery.
- Stock taking as and when directed.
- Warehouse housekeeping, ensuring all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and rubbish is disposed of correctly.
- Jointly responsible for premises security, access and egress of vehicles and footfall entry.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour
