Job Title - Production Supervisor Designate

Reports to: Managing Director

Based at: The Wheel Specialist - Ellesmere Port

Role & Responsibilities:
This is a small but dedicated business and one of 25 similar Wheel Specialist franchises across the UK. This means the business benefits from all the production know how across the group whilst maintaining leading technologies to achieve the best results for our customers. Having been operating successfully for over 10 years, the business is now ready to engage and train a professional to take on this demanding production role.

We are looking for a person with a sense of drive and great communication skills - always prepared to go the extra mile to achieve the best results. A level of flexibility is essential within this role.

At least one year’s experience in the automotive or related businesses is required together with a sound technical background.

You will report directly to the Managing Director (MD) from day 1.

Duties / Responsibilities:
The first step is to learn and master all the production techniques and become a key worker in the team earning their respect. You will receive full training in all aspects of the role

The next is to demonstrate an ability to manage the team without continued reference to the MD.

The Production Supervisor will be expected to:

- Motivate the production team to achieve the highest standards of work
- Ensure the factory and processes comply with company policies.
- In conjunction with the MD recruit and train production technicians as necessary
- Maintain the Company reputation for excellent service and quality
- Purchase all materials necessary for production
- Keep careful and documented control of all stocks
- Maintain equipment as required and ensure tidiness, cleanliness and safety of the workshops
- Make recommendations on new or replacement equipment needed for the MD’s approval
- Attend the Wheel Specialist Annual Conference
- An ability to meet and great customers and keep them happy

Any other duties as directed by the MD to assist with the running of the business.

**Salary**: From £26,000pa with performance related bonuses and increasing with progress to be measured at 6 monthly intervals.

Hours: 08.00 - 17.30 Mon-Friday but flexibility is required to meet the needs of the business (Hours maybe extended by mutual agreement)

Driving License: Preferred

**Experience**:
Tyre fitting: 1 year (preferred)

Powder Coating: 1 year (preferred)

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
