Robert Walters are delighted to partner with a business based in Kings Langley looking for an Assistant Management Accountant progressing through their ACCA/CIMA Qualifications. The role looks after commercial assets the business owns and will be responsiblefor preparing full sets of Management Accounts (inc. budgets and forecasts, accruals & pre-payments, any reporting and analysis).

The business is going through a strong period of growth and is in the process of building a large and successful team with an abundance of long-term internal opportunities. The role reports into a Financial Controller who is keen to bring in someone hungry,driven, and ambitious.

You will be expected to assist the rest of the team with preparing Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts, and Audits.

**General duties for the Assistant Management Accountant will involve**:

- Preparing annual budgets and cashflow forecasts
- Support on the production of Management Accounts
- Preparing periodic financial reports and budget variance analysis for use by internal and external stakeholders
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Preparing statutory accounts and annual audit in line with IFRS, FRS 102 or UK GAAP, including consolidated sets of accounts
- Supporting continuous improvements to accounting and reporting processes
- Handling relevant internal and external queries
- Business Partnering different finance functions
- ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified or actively studying.
- Experienced in accounts preparation, including journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and income deferral.
- Understanding of IFRS, FRS 102, FRS 101, and UK GAAP
- Have experience using a large ERP system
- Be confident communicating with both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Have strong Excel skills.
