To consistently achieve the highest standards of hygiene by managing a team of trained operatives, working at night whilst ensuring Health & Food Safety & legal compliance are adhered to at all times.
- Carry out necessary training with team members
- Act up to Hygiene Supervisor role as required
- Manage contract cleaners to ensure work completed safely and to the required standard.
- Be a flexible and committed team member, who is quality, safety and customer service focussed
- Ensure that all Hygiene documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in site visits / audits.
- Use knowledge and experience to anticipate and solve problems.
- Work effectively with team colleagues to ensure the delivery of the KPI targets.
- Drive cross functional working to ensure hygiene KPIs and standards are achieved - working towards best practice and continuous improvement
- Encourage and drive “Clean As You Go” standards in the work place
- Contribute new ideas towards process improvement and team development.
- Ensure that safety is paramount by compliance with all statutory regulations and legislation working safely at all times and adhering to all work instructions and procedures, risk assessments and method statements.
- Take responsibility for Hygiene Team’s compliance to all site procedures & policies
- Ensure that all departmental records are kept up to date, taking corrective actions where required.

**Essential**
- Experience of leading an effective team,
- Computer literate
- Problem solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Willing to acquire new skills and broaden learning
- Ability to make decisions.
- 1 year charge hand or team lead experience in a similar role within the food industry

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in a hygiene role in food manufacturing
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate
- Manual handling training
- COSHH training
- IOSH training
