Business Intelligence Lead

We have recently announced the creation of Pilgrim's Shared Services, a fourth stand-alone company, which will bring together some of the support functions of our current three businesses (Moy Park, excluding France and Netherlands, Pilgrim's UK & Pilgrim'sFood Masters). Its purpose is to deliver a high-quality shared service to those three businesses.
As the business grows, this shared service will broaden opportunities for career development as part of a far larger organisation. We will also continue our investment in technology to drive efficiencies and improved ways of working.
The Shared Services company includes a dedicated Continuous Improvement function, whose core responsibility is to drive positive business transformation across the business. Reporting to the Head of IT Development Services, we are pleased to advise that weare now recruiting for a Business Intelligence Lead.
The Role
As business intelligence manage you will lead and promote the BI team within Pilgrims European businesses. The key priorities will be mange and prioritise work load, creating a data driven business by building relationships within the wider business at alllevels.
You will make strategic and data driven decisions. Ensuring the majority of internal data needs are met through self-service BI (SSBI) and that employees have the skills to utilise effectively.
Pursue the use of BI & reporting tools to promote a data first culture through QlikSense, SAP BW, Innova and any other relevant tool.
This role also provides secondary level support to internal customers on existing or new enterprise solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Must be able to operate within set budget limits.
- R&M budget for Qlik licensing
- Act as senior member of IT team.
- Undertake analysis and reporting development work, (analysis, design, systems development, understanding and matching user requirements, implementing, support and maintaining) related to existing and new reporting requirements, processes and procedures.
- Perform user support function for all corporate reporting where applicable
- Develop functional design, systems specification, testing and implementation plans for reporting requests.
- Contract/vendor relationships including within the JBS organisation
What You'll Need
- Have the ability to lead development team of in the creation of innovative new Data solutions
- Have strong background in effectively managing stakeholders at all levels internally & externally, with the ability to navigate the governance and intricacies that comes with this
- Strong academic background and a working history that demonstrates relevant technical expertise and the analytical/ problem solving ability required within business information system reporting and delivery.
- 3+ years QlikSense / other BI tools
- Proven track record in development and delivery of effective corporate reporting and related business system tools; typically a minimum 3 years work experience is to be expected to be able to demonstrate the depth and breadth of technical skills and understandingof business reporting tools required.
- Experience working within an ERP or large business installation environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written English skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
- Ability to self-motivate and work unsupervised
- Current full driving license
