Hours are 7.30am - 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am to 3:30pm

Pay Rate IRO £11.00 p/hr

Skillection are working with their manufacturing client based in Middleton Manchester.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

This is a semi-skilled role that holds the responsibility of manufacturing products required for modular office structures. You will be responsible for achieving specifications as instructed, to be accountable for all work undertaken as directed.

Safe material handling onto and off machines including storage ready for production. Ensure required daily maintenance of machinery is carried out as required and advise supervisor of any issues immediately.

ESSENTIAL
- You will have experience with working with wood/MDF, joinery/shopfit/kitchen cabinet or similar manufacturing experience of metal and wood/MDF assemblies
- Ability to read basic Production Drawings
- Attention to detail and a desire for high quality output
- Willing and able to learn new practical skills
- The job is of a physical nature so a certain level of physical fitness is required
- Flexibility to work overtime as and when requested/required
- Fork lift licence (desirable not essential)
- Fabric upholstery experience (desirable but not essential)

KEY RESPONSIBLIITIES
- Assembly of modular acoustic office pod components
- Assembly of aluminium profiles
- Checking/packing of components
- Work effectively as part of a wider team/department
- Flexibility to work within different teams throughout the department
- Maintain professional standards of appearance, manner, discipline and work
- Work to a production schedule and ensure deadlines are maintained
- Maintain good levels of communication with team leaders/supervisors to ensure projects are on time, within budget and to scope especially in relation to components, materials and drawing specifications
- Undertake any training on or off site as required to perform role
- Ensure work is carried out in a safe and reasonable manner in cooperation with other colleagues maintaining good working relationships
- Compliance with Company Health and Safety procedures at all times
- Complete all compliance paperwork/processes as required
- Responsible for all personal equipment - including PPE and tools
- Ensure all products are produced to a high quality meeting specifications
- Maintain a clean and safe personal working area

On occasion, be willing to be flexible regarding the start and finish times to meet particular, foreseen or unforeseen work with the appropriate level of overtime approved in advance.

You will also be required to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required of you.
