I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Customs Supervisor to join a leading freight forwarding business who specialise in full container loads, less container loads, break bulk and out of gauge cargo projects.

They are seeking a Customs Supervisor to join the shipping department on a multi-model operation to join there expanding business with an opportunity to progress, develop and learn within their culture driven team.
- Customs Supervisor experience is essential (Multi Modal advantageous)
- Knowledge of Import & Export procedures / processes is essential
- 1 years’ experience within a similar Customs Supervisor role or 3-5 industry years’ experience is desirable
- Ability to process docs such as COO, EUR1 on ICERT
- Strong understanding of Destin8 / CNS
- Must have a ‘can do’ attitude
- Presentable, polite and demonstrate excellent customer service skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Competent decision making
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

**Duties and Responsibilities;**
- Prepare customs entries on imports and exports ensuring a high level of accuracy and full compliance
- Using CHIEF and CDS systems
- Ensuring a screening process takes place to review client documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists
- Processing refunds via HMRC
- Sound trade tariff knowledge
- Guaranteeing the import/export of finished products and components, ensuring the process is cost-effective and efficient
- Taking decisive action with the organisation of the flows of your activity
- Ensuring Customs authorisation documentation are checked and correctly completed
- You guarantee compliance with international transport regulations and customs procedures
- Coordinate international transport operations
- Ensure the prioritisation of local customs administrations
