Care Assistant Job Title: Care Assistant Location: Bath Salary: £12-14/hour Job type: Permanent Flexible Hours. The quality ofsupport delivered by the Personal Assistant is the primary determinant of the care experience of each individual client. For this reason, it is vital that staff have the appropriate experience, knowledge and attitude to their work. Key Responsibilities andSupport: Support people with regards to making informed decisions and lifestyle choices enabling them to take control of their own lives, increasing and maintaining independence. Ensure all support tasks are carried out in line with the needs, wishes and preferencesof the individual, following the care and support plan and risk assessments. Contribute to and attend reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings. Work in partnership with care managers and other professionals to maximise quality of life for individuals. Developpositive relationships with family and carers. Work in line with the company's Adult Safeguarding Policy and Whistle Blowing Policy to ensure that people are kept safe at all times. To be flexible and responsive at all times to meet the changing needs of theservice and the service users. Administer medication in line with the policy and the individual's care plans and check records of medication are completed correctly. Values and Attitudes: Support individuals in a non-judgemental way based on the principlesof anti-discriminatory practise. To treat individuals with respect and encourage them to express their individuality. Performance and Development: Work within Phoenix Care's policies and procedures. Work in a way that meets the statutory requirements of employeesunder health and safety at work. Adhere to the Codes of Practice and staff handbook. At all times work within current legislation. Enter actively into supervision and appraisal. Attend training on a regular basis to ensure that all mandatory and personal trainingand development needs are met in accordance with the training contract. To work in accordance with the company's mobile phone and IT policies. To behave in a manner that reflects positively on the company at all times. To work closely with other members ofthe team for the ultimate benefit of the people that Phoenix Care supports. To comply with the confidentiality policy at all times. To ensure that staff complete holiday requests in a timely manner via the website. Administration: Ensure incidents are recordedappropriate at the time of occurrence. Ensure an alert is raised whenever an issue if concern is noted. You should attend your shifts with reliability and should follow the procedure detailed in the handbook if you are unable to attend your shift. Ensure workis recorded accurately and appropriately in compliance with the company requirements using Birdie and that records made and personal information used are in compliance with the GDPR Act and the standards of information governance.
