**Part time - 30 hours, Permanent**
**£17,942 - £22,308 (actual salary for part time)Plus 15% unsocial hours allowance on top of salary**
South Street is a dynamic, artistically led venue hosting some of the best small-scale touring work from the UK and further afield. We are looking for an equally dynamic and committed individual to join our small team to lead our front of house operation.

**About the role**
We are looking for someone to create a warm and welcoming environment for customers & visiting artist whilst underpinning that with a methodical and professional approach to the planning and delivery of our events. We pride ourselves on our customer service,so require someone with a passion for working with the public & motivating their team to deliver a high-quality service.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Managing a team of casual staff, including scheduling rota’s
- Managing the bar operation, including stock ordering
- Contributing to Health & Safety management & implementation
- Supporting the day-today running of bookings and events

**About you**
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who is comfortable dealing with a wide range of people. You will need to lead a small team of casual staff, liaise with colleagues across services & departments, and deal directly with a widespectrum of the general public. You will need to be able to use IT for vital planning and documentation, as well as for communication.
Specific requirements
- Experience of working in customer service environment, preferably in an arts venue
- Experience of managing staff
- A knowledge of Health & Safety practice
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use IT to a good standard
- Able to work evenings and weekends

It is a requirement of the job to be present at the venue to Duty Manage events but there may be some administrative tasks that can be undertaken at home. A work laptop will be supplied.
