**Position** - Commercial Analyst

**Location** - Luton

**Salary** - £35,000 - £40,000

**Who we’re looking for**:
You’ll be someone with experience working within Commercial and Finance teams, conducting competitor analysis and benchmarking of product pricing strategies. You’ll have an external outlook, critically to ensure the business understands market activity andtakes advantage of opportunities within the marketplace. You’ll be someone who thrives on analysing data, not just transactional data gathering and analysis, but someone who can make recommendations on your findings, challenging the business and driving pricingarchitecture, customer banding and updating pricing lists.

**About you**:
As this would be a newly appointed vacancy, the person coming into this role has a real opportunity to make this position their own. You’ll be confident, data savvy and utilise the data to challenge and make recommendations to the wider business. Workingclosely with the Group Finance Director, you’ll play an important role, ensuring the business remains competitive in the marketplace, understanding our products inside out. You’ll ideally have several years’ experience of gathering, collating, and analysingpricing data, to support commercial and strategic decisions.

**Key Requirements**:

- Passion for data analytics
- Capability to analyse trends and patterns
- Strong Excel skills and highly numerate
- Commercial awareness
- Understanding of financial analysis and costing
- Report writing skills and willingness to present findings to stakeholders
- Ability to challenge the status quo
- Experience working in a multi-site environment would be beneficial
