Senior Quantity Surveyor

TSR are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a leading real estate developer to work on their new sites based in Luton. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the commercial management and control ensuring risk, commercial targets and ethicsare achieved. Working in collaboration with the project team, they are responsible for the line management (where applicable) of Quantity Surveyor’ and Assistant Quantity Surveyor’ and work in direct collaboration with Commercial Lead / Commercial Director.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor, control and reporting of cost parameters of all sub-contract work package, preliminary and professional accounts including effective subordinate delegation. Assess and record all associated variation and /or time effects.
- Coordinate and report the commercial review within the monthly out-turn forecast / cost to complete report and associated cost value reconciliation.
- Development and management of procurement ensuring timely conclusion.
- Analysis & letting work packages ensuring best value and risk management attainment.
- Develop, draft and overview suitable forms of tender and appointment (utilising company procedures) for sub-contract work package, preliminary items and professional appointments.
- Managing administration of contractual and legislative compliance.
- Management and reporting of cash flow matters including timeous receipt of all cost information and issuance of notifications, ensuring delegated tasks to subordinates are checked and accurate.
- Conclusion in accordance with sub-contract terms and commercial reporting timetables and associated final account matters are settled timely and within best value.
- Coordinate the receipt of health and safety data through award, ensuring references and records are secured from sub-contractors including insurances, risk assessments and method statements with presentation to the Project Manager prior to commencementfor review and acceptance.
- Drive the coordination and conclusion of all commercial and contract administration matters in line with the chosen form of contract and company procedures.
- Management and development of team members to drive achievement of objectives, motivate them through challenges and ensure they have all the support they need to excel in their roles.
- Administer main contract matters including (not limited) to the liaison with the Employers Agent and / or PQS for controlling all commercial and contractual matters including risk minimisation, external valuation, variation and / or time effects for successfuldelivery.
In return you will receive a salary of up to £70,000 + car allowance and company benefits.
