Here at GXO we are looking for a Transport Team Leader, on a full time, permanent basis.

We are offering a unique opportunity to help lead an award-winning friendly transport team where you will not work weekends and relish the quiet period at Christmas.

You will normally work Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 19:00, but flexibility is required as you may be asked to cover earlier starts or late finishes (between 6am and 10pm). This will be kept to a minimum and will be appreciated.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 20 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. **What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Day-to-day, you will be involved with all driver-related issues ensuring that all transport legislation and GXO policies and procedures are always adhered to (Full training will be given)
- Brief and debrief of drivers, including reporting and investigating accidents and incidents
- Lead the transport department including assisting with resourcing, induction, assessment, and training, including agency staff
- Direct, guide and support your team to meet all operational objectives

**What you need to succeed at GXO**:

- Previous experience of leading a diverse transport team in a fast-moving environment with the ability to Effectively communicate.
- Be driven to learn and develop in the role - ready to fully embrace the training opportunities on offer which includes undertaking International CPC
- Excellent or emerging people management, coaching and influencing skills
- Agile, nimble thinker with strong personal resilience and an ability to make quantifiable independent decisions
