**JOB TITLE: Meat Scheduler**

**DEPARTMENT: Purchasing**

Reports to: Group Commercial Manager or Site Manager

Direct Reports: None

**Basic Function**:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Meat Scheduler is responsible for managing stocks for a defined set of proteins, currently FM and FFR beef/lamb

**General Duties**
- Ensuring Stock targets are maintained without compromising quality, plan attainment, customer requirements and control of costs. Currently in conjunction with UK and ROI group planning/commercial, this covers targets for both site and group on the current products, including forward requirements for seasonal uplifts.

**Specific Daily / Weekly Duties**
- Co-ordinating daily / weekly stock levels through daily compilation of buy sheets, stock issue files.
- Co-ordinating daily and weekly purchasing schedules for suppliers based on products purchased ensuring consistent service - this covers UK, ROI and Dunbia NW schedules. This should be a group function but is currently across 3 areas of the business. this is currently being reviewed to potentially move this to group planning as the FM and FFR meat system is not same as other proteins bought for site.
- Maintaining weekly raw material forecast for primary production and scheduling for all FM and FFR beef - this is currently being reviewed to potentially move this to group planning as the FM and FFR meat system is not same as other proteins bought for site.
- Co-ordinating beef FFR blending files.
- Preparing daily purchase orders on movex, and updating on receipt of delivery notes.
- Approving invoices.
- Track orders to ensure that deliveries have been received are correct and liaise with suppliers on any issues and raise disputes where necessary.
- Liaising with external coldstore / transport companies.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications and raise disputes where necessary.
- Preparing weekly raw material transfer reports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly claims for FM beef/meat for group suppliers. In addition checking off of all weekly group beef FM claims.
- New raw material specs for my product range assistance, including product set-ups.
