**Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 (Depending on Experience)**

**Job Purpose**:
Blackpool Football Club are looking for a reliable, experienced Maintenance Assistant to work across both our Stadium and Training ground site. In this vital role, as part of our small Maintenance team, you will contribute to the smooth running of the stadium. Day to day tasks include caretaking duties, grounds & building maintenance, regular compliance testing, site security and supervision.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- To assist the Stadium Operations Manager with their duties and to support the Stadium team in carrying out routine and everyday maintenance.
- To perform planned and preventative Maintenance work, as directed and required.
- To carry out daily / weekly / monthly compliance testing & inspecting, fire alarms and emergency lighting.
- To liaise with the Events & Hospitality department to ensure the smooth running and satisfactory completion of all functions, conferences and exhibitions held within the Stadium & Hotel.
- To liaise & work closely with the Stadium Grounds Team.
- To assist in the operation of audio-visual equipment, to assist the smooth running of Events & Hospitality function.
- To replace / repair lighting around the Stadium & all tenant / office areas.
- To operate the Spice Works portal to collect & update work requests.
- To operate / adjust plant room controls.
- To carry out Pro-active works around the stadium / hospitality & tenant offices servicing windows / doors / painting & general works within the tenant office areas.
- To maximise energy management by making sure no energy & water are wasted.
- Suggesting initiatives to make additional savings as any ROI approach will be seriously considered.
- To carry out all Ground / Stadium duties which includes seating repairs / replacements.
- Inform Heads of Departments of any Health & Safety issues.
- The role holder will also be required to take on new tasks from time-to-time as instructed by the Stadium Operations Manager.
- Any other reasonable duties.

**Health & Safety / Compliance**
- To understand and ensure the implementation of the Stadiums Health and Safety policy, Emergency and Fire Procedures.
- To attend all training sessions as required, specifically statutory training including manual handling.
- Complete all relevant records, reports, documentation as per company policy.
- To carry out Fire safety / Weekly audibility testing within the Stadium / tenanted areas.
- To inspect the Fire extinguishers monthly within the Stadium / tenanted areas.
- Monthly fire door inspections within the Stadium & tenanted areas.
- To ensure the emergency lighting tests / checks are carried out monthly within the Stadium & tenanted areas.
- To inspect & maintain fire escapes within the Stadium & tenanted areas.
- PEAR Checks including light rig cables within the Stadium.
- To manage the Water hygiene regimes / outlet flushing / temp checks..
- To be fully familiar with all Health and Safety instructions within the Stadium & tenanted areas.
- To adhere to all current legislation pertaining to Fire & Health and Safety.

**Person Specification**

Qualifications (**Desirable)**
- Industry related qualification ie Electrical, Mechanical, Carpentry or similar.

**Experience (Essential)**
- Previous experience within a Maintenance environment.
- Experience of working within a team.

**Knowledge & Skills **(Essential)**
- Current working knowledge of general maintenance.
- Strong organisation skills.
- A good understanding of time management.
- Ability to work without close supervision within established timeframes.
- Proficient in paperwork and the completion of Maintenance logs.

**Knowledge & Skills **(Desirable)**
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office systems eg Office, Excel, Access and Powerpoint or equivalent system.
