Duty Security Officer

**Security Officer - Full time (Mobile)**
£10.90 p/hr + overtime + pension, hourly rate increases to £11.45 p/hr after 3 months successful probation. £12.00 p/hr after 1 year of service.

Working nights/ weekends/ Bank Holiday: Variety of shifts available - either starting 18:00 or 20:00 (12 hour shifts, 4 on, 4 off)

**Following extensive growth across our mobile security services, Venture Security are now in a position to expand our mobile team across Hampshire.**

**Main Responsibilities**:
This dynamic role is both exciting and challenging, especially when compared to many static security roles. It offers the opportunity to manage your own workload, use your initiative and to work in a growing, fast paced sector. You will be vehicle based, driving a modern branded patrol vehicle and using the latest technology in tracking, satellite navigation and communications. Your health and safety is paramount and we have extensive lone worker systems in place. All our patrol officers work in regional teams, ensuring that you have support from other officers as well as a duty supervisor.
- The Security Officer will provide a visible, alert and smart security presence at our customers’ sites
- The Security Officer will undertake locks and unlocks of customer sites
- Respond to CCTV, fire and/or intruder alarms and manage incidents efficiently and effectively
- Conduct external and/or internal patrols of various customer sites ensuring the security of buildings and assets
- Follow assignment instructions (AIs) accurately and in a professional manner
- Maintain effective communication with the Mobile Supervisor ensuring that issues are raised and dealt with promptly and effectively
- Liaise with police, alarm receiving centres (ARC), control room, client representative and other agencies as necessary
- The Security Officer will complete necessary documentation including incident and occurrence reports as required
- Write complete and accurate incident and handover reports and taking appropriate action on all reports received by you at the beginning or during each shift
- Conduct shift handover procedures at the start and end of each shift, to ensure that all matters of concern are communicated correctly for the purposes of incident management and service continuity
- Drive our branded company vehicles in line with the law and our company driving policy
- Daily maintenance of the vehicle including cleanliness, oil checks, tyre pressure checks, water checks
- Ongoing continuous professional development.

- £10.90 p/hr + overtime + pension, hourly rate increases to £11.45 after 3 month successful probation.
- Hourly rate increases to £12.00 after a successful 1 year's service
- Double time is paid on bank holidays
- Contracted hours working nights: 18:00 to 07:00hrs / 20:00 to 08:00hrs (inc.1hr unpaid break) on a 4-on 4-off rotation
- 6 weeks (pro rata equivalent) paid annual leave

- Previous experience in mobile security work would be beneficial but not essential as full initial and ongoing training will be provided
- This role is vehicle based so a full, clean UK driving licence is required
- Must have a current and active SIA licence (either Security Guard, Door Supervisor or Close Protection)
- Must over 25 years old due to fleet insurance restrictions
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check and 10 year background checks
- Be physically fit and able to work in a wide variety of environments in varying weather conditions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to use own initiative to assess situations and respond appropriately
- A good timekeeper and able to plan own workload
- Smart, well-presented and confident
- Must be prepared to work night shifts which will include some weekends and bank holidays on a 4-on 4-off shift rotation.
