**Senior Personal Assistant/Carer - Runcorn, Ref**: ADAH/03/LS

A number of Personal Assistants required to support a young lady to live at home. The client is 27 years old and has a diagnosis of Retts Syndrome, ADHD, Autism, Severe Visual Impairment and has a Severe Learning Disability.

Client can verbally communicate with sounds, expressions, movements and gestures. The client enjoys watching animals, helping with cooking, loves being in the hydro pool, enjoys listening to music, watching VT, discos and being with family and peers.

The client is reliant of those caring for her to anticipate and pre-empt her care needs at all times.

The client requires 2 PA Carers at all times. The hours required are:
Maternity cover - 12 months

Start: 09/09/2024

1 Senior PA to work the following shifts on a 2-week rota - 12 hours per week

Hours to be arranged at interview and this is only an admin role no care support is required.

The senior role will include the following extra duties and additional person specification:

- You will be a team player who will supervise, support and develop the care team
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be closely liaising with external professionals and staff under your mentor.
- Oversee the running of the house
- Ordering medication
- Completing staff rotas

Client requires supporting with all aspects of her care, including;
- Showering/personal hygiene care
- Dressing/getting up and getting ready for bed
- Monitoring/recording her health
- Administration of medications
- Booking and attending appointments
- Supporting shopping
- Household duties (e.g. laundry, cleaning etc), and
- Support when out/about in the community

Experience is preferred but not essential.

A Diploma in Health and Social Care: Level 2 is also desirable.
