We are currently looking to recruit a creative, passionate and experienced Exec Head Chef to oversee the running of this prestigious kitchen based in Northamptonshire.
Working within an extremely busy environment with approx. 500 covers daily, the kitchen caters for a new main restaurant as well as grab&go, all day grazing as well as extensive hospitality in the conference facility. The main restaurant offers a breakfast,lunch and supper service.
As the Exec Head Chef, you will manage, train and develop a large team of 18. You will need to be financially aware and able to manage costs and budget accordingly. All food is freshly prepared and seasonal so exceptional culinary skills are essential.
The operation has a GM so this role will be predominately kitchen based.
Working hours are 5/7, approx. 45 hours per week. There is a reduced service over the weekends.
Due to location, it is preferable to have own mode of transport as there is extremely limited public transport to the site.
- be at either Exec Chef or Head Chef level with a proven background
- ideally have worked within B&I and/or commercial catering
- have catered for hospitality and events
- have an excellent eye for detail and presentation
- have strong financial knowledge and the ability to demonstrate this at interview level
- be able to manage, train and lead a team
- be able to multi task and oversee a multi-site operation
- be passionate about food and ingredients as well as up to date with trends and concepts
- be flexible and willing with a positive, can do attitude
