North Kent College (including Hadlow College) is proudly rated as an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider, with ‘Outstanding’ learner behaviours and attitudes (April 2024). With four campuses across Kent and 4,000 students, we strive to equip the young people who study here with an inclusive and innovative education experience to enhance their future career prospects, which, as noted by Ofsted, is supported through our high-quality, industry standard facilities. Each and every staff member plays a key part in delivering the success of our learners’ experience, and we want those who join our curriculum and support teams to share our passion in achieving this.

Working within the Hair & Beauty curriculum area, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitability qualified, experienced and passionate individual to join the team as a Lecturer in Hairdressing.

You’ll be required to prepare, teach and assess at a variety of qualification levels, providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies. You’ll have specialist knowledge of the curriculum area and a formal qualification that underpins this knowledge, which is enhanced by your relevant industry / professional experience.

We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.

In return, we’ll give you 42 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time contracts), and you’ll be enrolled onto the Teachers’ Pension Scheme. You’ll also benefit from free parking and have access to a range of onsite facilities, including a nursery (Dartford and Gravesend campuses), restaurants and coffee shops.
