Salary Range: £32,717 - £40,117 per annum, pro rata (dependent on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (including evening and weekend work)
**About the Role**:
Southend Adult Community College is seeking a passionate and motivated **King’s Trust Team Leader** to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for organising and delivering the King’s Trust Team programme three times per academic year. You will support young people in gaining essential skills for employment, community involvement, and personal development.
You’ll lead three teams, guiding them through recruitment, induction, team-building activities, residential trips, project work, and individual placements. The role also involves liaising with employers, community organisations, and educational bodies to ensure the success of each programme.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Recruitment & Induction**:
- Recruit and induct team members, working with local Jobcentre Plus (JCP), youth organisations, schools, and employers.
**Programme Delivery**:
- Plan and deliver each KTT programme, setting objectives and ensuring learning outcomes are achieved.
**Leadership & Team Management**:
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, conducting regular reviews and evaluations.
**Community Liaison & Project Management**:
- Collaborate with community organisations to plan and supervise team projects and individual placements.
**Health and Safety**:
- Ensure the safety of all team members by conducting risk assessments and verifying the suitability of placements and residential venues.
**Employer Feedback**:
- Provide employers with performance feedback for their employees who are participating in the programme.
**Assessment & Evaluation**:
- Assess learners' needs, plan and deliver tailored teaching programmes, and evaluate learning outcomes.
**Administrative Tasks**:
- Maintain records and report to the College Principal and King’s Trust. Ensure compliance with College policies and procedures.
**Promotion**:
- Actively promote the programme to employers and community organisations alongside our marketing team.
**What We’re Looking For**:
**Experience**:
- Experience in youth work, teaching, or community-based roles is desirable. Proven leadership experience, especially in a team-oriented environment, is essential.
**Skills & Qualities**:
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and deliver a structured programme.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with young people, employers, and community partners.
- Ability to provide effective leadership, guidance, and support.
- Passionate about making a difference in young people’s lives and supporting their growth.
**Qualifications**:
- A relevant qualification in youth work, education, or a related field is desirable.
