Here at **AIS**, we have an exciting opportunity available for an **Site Services Technician**to join our Facilities and Operations team based in **Solihull.** You will join us on a **full-time, permanent basis,** and in return, you will receive a **competitive salarydepending on experience.**

**AIS** is the largest non-food buying group of its kind in the UK, with a membership of 300 independent department stores and specialist retailers. The business is now entering an exciting time of change, with a new Managing Director at thehelm and a transformational agenda to bring a more commercial and customer-focused approach to this well-established and successful membership organisation.

As our **Site Services Technician** you will work closely with the Operations Manager, to prepare the facilities for events, meetings and conferences, this will include but will not be limited to constructing shell scheme stands, setting uptables and chairs and setting out a variety of fixtures and fittings.

The **Site Services Technician** will be responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the site, ensuring that both Cranmore Park and Cranmore Place are maintained to the highest possible standards by providing a day to day reactivemaintenance and repair service carrying out basic repairs for plant, equipment and building fabric for both buildings as well as carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) work.

**Key responsibilities as our Site Services Technician**:

- Working to tight deadlines to construct the show builds in line with tailored drawings, and to use a myriad of equipment to facilitate the construction and breakdown phase which may include the use of the forklift truck
- Performing basic electrical tasks
- Identifying and perform basic repairs and maintenance of plumbing leaks or breaks
- Carrying out daily checks of plant equipment, ensuring that both buildings are operating efficiently and effectively, identifying faults and reporting concerns immediately
- Carrying out routine maintenance on all items of plant and equipment that is not included in a service agreement or maintenance contract in a timely manner
- Performing basic carpentry repair of structures
- Supporting with office moves and replacing and reorganising furniture, replacing flooring and preparing and paint walls
- Maintaining grounds to ensure they are always clean, safe, and in an orderly manner

**What we’re looking for in our Site Services Technician**:

- Experience in general DIY skills (plumbing, painting, general repairs) would be an advantage
- Understanding of Health and Safety is essential
- Experience and a valid certificate for operating a forklift or a willingness to undertake the relevant training/qualification
- A full clean driving license is essential
- Maintain a professional approach at all times and represent the Facilities service to a professional level.
- Excellent communication skills both externally and at all levels in the company.
- Enthusiastic, self-confident and self-motivated.
- Willing to adapt and take on new challenges and driven to continuously improve.
