To work for a high end ceramics Manufacturer in Wiltshire, that produces functional table and serveware. Our small factory produces pieces using traditional techniques.
We currently need some Temporary help for our small, friendly production team.
The role and tasks we need to cover are both varied and repetitive and can be strenuous. These include:
- Moving heavy packs of clay and other supplies
- Assisting with packing orders and moving boxes
- Assisting with palleting orders and moving pallets
- Regular and thorough cleaning
- Sanding finished pieces
- Packing and unpacking gas kilns
- Helping move and count inventory - Firsts and Seconds.
- Helping track tasks on the Workshop Ipad.
- Counting/ tracking stock of cardboard, packing materials and other supplies
- Helping undertake Heath & Safety monitoring[NC2]
- Potentially assist with manufacture processes (taught in house) -Fettle leather hardware and wax and stamp prior to glazing.
- Assist generally within the Workshop
To do this we are looking for someone who is:
- A good team worker
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Has good attention to detail and can work carefully with fragile items
- Is willing to learn and has a positive attitude
- Is able and happy to undertake physically demanding tasks
and have the stamina to perform such tasks throughout each working day.
To start as soon as possible with salary starting in the region of £11.50 an hour but can be discussed depending on experience and skill level.
