The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and operational management to all urgent care staff, including medical staff, in your service, ensuring that the service delivers high quality care within the scope of the service specification.

The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and the post holder will notionally work a five day shift pattern during the week, with some weekends to cover the CTL / Duty Shift Leader rota.

The post holder is responsible for the smooth running of the service, compliance with internal and external policy, procedure and guidelines, clinical governance, quality improvement, and working within a delegated budget. The post holder will deputise for the Urgent Care Clinical Services Manager as required, and be part of the Urgent Care Duty Management rota countywide.
