Trainee Accountant

We are currently working with a growing Client based in Stevenage who are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their growing Finance Division.
Over view of duties:
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Answering phone calls and handling queries
- Filing and Scanning
- Preparing letters, presentations and reports
- Creating, updating, and maintaining Excel spreadsheets
- Preparing tax returns
- Liaising with HMRC and handling client queries
- Preparing statutory accounts to review level/ stage
- Analysis of bank transactions, sales and purchase control accounts
- Various ad hoc duties
**Position Requirements**:
- Relevant qualification desirable
- Experience in administration
- Experience with light bookkeeping (desired)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong IT skills - especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Effective time management skills
- Experience of accounting software such as IRIS and Quickbooks is ideal, but not mandatory
This role is based in Stevenage and will be office based (working hours 9am - 5pm) with an hours lunch break.
