**Responsibilities, Duties and Requirements**:

- Laundering PPE as specified to prevent cross contamination of allergen and non-allergen PPE whilst maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ensuring that all items of PPE are in a good state of repair and bring to the attention of your manager any items that require replacement.
- Maintaining all areas of the laundry, including laundry processing equipment and (Personal Protective Equipment) PPE in a clean and hygienic and tidy condition.
- Ensuring that all chemicals used in the laundry are replenished as needed informing your manager of the need to order chemical stocks, to ensure the continuous operation of the laundry processing
- Cleaning work areas including offices, canteen, toilets, corridors and general areas.
- Provide a high-quality cleaning service that includes tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying bins and polishing surfaces.
- Reporting equipment faults to maintenance staff
- Ensuring that all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained in a safe, clean and efficient condition and reporting to your manager any items or equipment which require repair or replacement
- To understand responsibilities in relation to fire procedures, health and safety COSHH.
- You would be part of a small hygiene team

**Skills and knowledge**:

- Good practical skills
- The ability to work quickly and methodically whilst following correct procedures
- Maintain detailed written records
- The ability to work alone and maintain your own quality control
- The ability to understand and follow detailed procedures
- An awareness of Health & Safety
- A willingness to work flexibly
- The ability to identify and solve problems
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Familiarity with material Safety data sheets
- Be able to work cleanly and methodically
- Demonstrated reliability

**Hours**:
09.00 - 15.00 (or 17.00-22.00) Monday to Friday (30 hours/week).

**Salary**:
10.00 per hour (rising to £10.30 after successful 4-month probation)
