Capital Talent Box is recruiting for a Sports Lecturer on an ongoing temporary basis offering 15 hours per week at £24.33 per hour.

**About the role**

You will take an active role in the effective teaching of Sport and Public Services, providing high quality teaching, to create effective opportunities for learning and to enable all learners to achieve to the best of their ability and helping improve lives through, education, training, skills and development, fostering social and economic success, in line with the College’s overall mission.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- To teach and assess on a range of Sport qualifications.
- To contribute to the delivery and development of Sport programmes.
- To take an active part in the recruitment, interviewing, selection and counselling of students.
- To co-ordinate a range of cross Departmental functions including co-ordination of two or more courses (if required).
- To assist where appropriate, with the establishment and monitoring of student work placements.
- To complete administrative tasks and keep accurate and complete records of attendance of students, schemes of work and course outlines, marking schemes and in-course assessments and to make these available as required.
- To be an active member of relevant course-teams or other groups, and to attend course teams and other meetings.
- To take an active part in curriculum development for specific courses and, where appropriate, across the department.
- Liaising with the appropriate awarding bodies to ensure that the criteria for course approval are being met and implemented.
- Carrying out effective evaluation of courses.

**The person & qualifications**
- A relevant first degree or a professional qualification in Sport and/or Sport Exercise Science
- A Level 4 teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) is desirable or the willingness to achieve one in line with statutory requirements
- Demonstrable and successful experience of teaching Sport
