They say, working here is "_very rewarding_", "_there are flexible working hours(and they) promote respect, achievement and honesty._" "_It's a privilege to work with such great people_". **We offer**: - A role with real purpose, that directly affects the service we deliver to the communities of Devon and Somerset. - An inclusive, friendly and professional working environment in the beautiful South-West. - Flexible hybrid working to suit both you and the organisation. - Excellent salary and an accreditation supplement. **You also get** - Government Pension Scheme. - Cycle to work scheme available (after probation period). - Health and wellbeing provision including eye care, onsite gym facilities, counselling, physiotherapy. - Access to Blue Light Card (discount scheme for Emergency Services staff) + Sports & Social Association. - Free on-site parking. **Our new Co-Head of people services will**: - Lead a large team of HR and OD professionals, working with the Co-head of People Services (OD and Culture). - Support the design and delivery of our next People Strategy across Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion, Talent Management, Health and Wellbeing, New ways of Working and Learning and Development. - Improve all aspects of people management through our people services transformation, improving business processes and integrating a new system. - Support us in strategic workforce planning and embedding the use of people analytics and insights to inform strategic decision making. - Provide a high level of expertise in employee relations and all aspects of UK employment law. - As part of the Strategic Leadership Team, contribute to and influence the delivery of the overall strategic direction for the organisation in line with its purpose and vision to make the communities of Devon and Somerset a safe place to live, work and visit. - Be an experienced HR leader with at least three years in a leadership role and demonstrable expertise in employee and industrial relations and employment law. - To be a Chartered Member of CIPD or hold an equivalent level 7 HR qualification and be willing to obtain Chartered Membership. - A passion for designing and delivering people services that support human performance and be able to demonstrate significant improvements in people outcomes. - To be able to demonstrate inclusivity in leadership and specifically in change and improvement practices. - A strategic understanding of the value of Organisational Development in supporting human and organisational performance. - To be comfortable working collaboratively as a joint People Services lead and delivering on shared performance objectives. **You must be eligible to work in the UK.
