Self Employed Employment Engagement Officer

We are currently looking for a Recruitment Officer with experience within the work based learning sector for the Cumrbian area. We are looking to develop relationships with businesses and to meet their training needs through the delivery of short programmes.

You will have experience of identifying and maximising training opportunities within businesses.

You will be responsible for identifying and winning new Work Based Learning business through effective employer engagement activity, whilst developing relationships with existing employers to maximise account development and will play a central role in achieving company aims by helping generate awareness and interest amongst carefully chosen employers, working with them to evaluate their company’s learning and development needs.

Starts can be achieved by:
1. Working with Businesses to upskilling their existing workforce.

2. Upskilling current Learners, moving on to the next Level of Qualification in their field.

The role also requires the Recruiter to ‘onboard’ the Learner and compete all associated sign-up paperwork to accurately and to a high-quality standard, as well as completing the Health and Safety checks with the employer.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Research prospective companies in targeted markets, pursue leads and follow through to a successful agreement to deliver learning in the Workplace.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with employers to support the achievement of targets.
- Ownership of Regional Business Development plan to target new and existing employers in sector / geography.
- Support employers in your Region as the first point of contact to deliver effective account management and maximise business opportunities.
- Build relationships with other team members to generate new opportunities from existing employers.
- Timely follow up and conversion of leads and referrals.
- Process and manage all Learner documentation, striving for right first-time Sales and Learner enrolments in line with Quality and Compliance standards.
- Engagement with the Marketing Officer to identify and execute localised campaigns, contributing to social media activity and attending networking events.
- Active promotion and communication of programmes to all internal and external stakeholders including Local Authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships, Provider Networks, Growth Hubs, Chambers of Commerce etc.
- Understand and keep abreast of Legislation relating to all relevant UK programmes including devolved nations.

**Skills and Experience**

Essential:

- Extensive experience of developing new business opportunities, with a B2B focused sales experience.
- Experienced sales professional with track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven communicator, with the ability to engage and nurture relationships across a wide range of sectors.
- Demonstrable ability to interpret individual requirements, influencing and negotiation in a sales environment to build and maintain business relationships.
- Competent at creating and delivering Sales presentations to win new business.
- Monitoring your own Business Development performance in line with role KPIs, ensuring that a consistent, ongoing sales pipeline is identified, leading to the achievement of targets.
- Excellent organisational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting.
- Competent in the use and purpose of technology with strong IT skills in Microsoft office.
- UK Driving Licence with own means of transport.

Desirable:

- A proven track record in Business Development within the Work Based Learning sector.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of accredited qualifications.
- A strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry and positioning with in the sector and funded programmes.
- Knowledgeable about different funding streams and career pathways in sector to deliver effective Information Advice and Guidance.
- Experience of supporting bid writers with of tender responses, both for new business and the retendering of existing business.
