The Outdoor Kitchen Collective is the UK’s largest and most comprehensive high-end outdoor kitchen and lifestyle destination. We are a contemporary retail and event space showcasing cutting-edge, high-end outdoor kitchens and state-of-the art accessories.

Our business is set in a beautiful 3,200sq ft barn in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

We are recruiting for a friendly, approachable, efficient and active Saturday receptionist able to commit to every Saturday from 9-4pm.

**The job specification**:

- Warmly greet all visitors, clients.
- Create a friendly and inviting atmosphere that reflects the organisation's values.
- Offer and prepare tea/coffee for client meetings
- Notify staff/managers when customers arrive for their appointments.
- Be able to offer general information to clients about our range of products and brands
- Take and sign for deliveries and notify staff accordingly.
- Ensure the showroom is clean and tidy at all times on a Saturday: we will require our receptionist to do some elements of cleaning of the showroom prior to opening our doors at 10am. This will include a variety of tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, wiping surfaces, appropriately stock facilities (WC).
- Take detailed messages and relay them promptly to the concerned parties.
- Price up new stock of showroom products
- Make a note of any products out of stock
- On the occasional Saturdays when we run our cooking events, be proactive in assisting the events/marketing team to ensure all is ready. This involves preparing the events space, setting the table, ensuring the showroom looks at its best, serve food and drinks to customers and offer friendly advice on our range of products and brands.
- Process shops sales by card/cash using our card reader
- Open and close/lock the showroom safely at the start and end of the day

Required to work 9 - 4pm with a lunch break
£11 per hour
Job type - part time - every Saturday.

**Who we were looking for**:

- Someone reliable, friendly and approachable who will happily welcome and look after our customers.
- Retail experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Proactive, positive and can-do attitude
