We offer high quality childcare and early years learning opportunities to the ages of 0-5 years. We are seeking to recruit a passionate, enthusiastic and committed room leader qualified to a minimum of level 3.

About the role:

- To take full day to day responsibility for the efficient running of the room.
- To support the nursery manager in striving to deliver an outstanding setting.
- Provide leadership and support to staff.
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff.
- Support and mentor staff and to ensure high standards of performance are continually being met.
- You will be a key person, carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with small groups of children and their families.
- Use the environment to offer a unique experience for our parents and children.
- Have a child centred approach, planning to meet the needs of all children and their interests, using the Birth to 5 Matters for guidance.
- Ensure that children are kept safe and that staff follow safeguarding procedures.
- Ensure that the nutritional needs of the children are met.
- Have a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Support and provide diversity, equality and inclusion.
- Ensure you work as part of a team.
- Be able to use your own initiative.
- Hold at least a level 3 qualification in early years.
- Have previous experience within a nursery setting.
- Ideally have experience in a similar role, or be a well experienced practitioner ready for a new challenge.
- Have a good understanding of the Ofsted requirements and procedures.
- Experience in working as part of a team.

Successful applicants must be able to provide the following:

- ‘right to work in the UK’ documentation,
- Provide evidence of qualifications and training,
- Provide two references from previous employment, (5 years)
- Undertake an enhanced DBS check prior commencing employment.

The post is exempt from the rehabilitation of Offenders act 1974.
