We’re looking for a passionate and persuasive communicator to help promote our Trust and our work within Mental Health, Learning Disability and Autism, and community services for the NHS.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join us on a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover as a Communications and Engagement Officer.

The ideal person for this role will have proven written skills and be able to understand and interpret complex information, identify key messages, and write for a range of audiences, including staff, stakeholders, and service users.

You’ll lead our internal communications and write and plan engaging content and key operational updates. You’ll identify opportunities to celebrate our staff and their achievements, including creating good news content for the media and being the first contact for media queries.

We’re looking for a great listener who can understand the concerns of teams and provide expert and tailored communications guidance and support, including creative copywriting and proofreading.

There’s a lot going on, so we’re looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and can manage competing demands and expectations

Our team is keen to do things differently and we welcome creativity and collaboration to implement new ideas. This role is hybrid, so you can work wherever is best for you, though you will have the opportunity to come together and collaborate at trust sites when it is appropriate to do so.

We’re pleased to offer this role as a 12-month secondment to staff in Coventry and Warwickshire system organisations.
