We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Mental Health team at**HMP Gartree**, a **category**B** Prison located in**Market Harborough, Leicestershire.**

In this role you'll be working with a multi-disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed.

**Hours**

This a part-time role working **30**hours per week (7.5 hours a day, 4 days per week)

Monday to Friday - core working hours (8 - 6).

There is flexibility as to which days you would like to work.

**Salary**

You'll receive an annual salary up to **£**47,466**_ _**per annum FTE - depending on experience.

**What you'll be doing**:
As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Be responsible for assessment and caseload management of those referred into Mental health services
- Support your team to carry out comprehensive assessments, confidently communicating treatment options and initiating supportive care plans, working with individuals on a 1-2-1 basis alongside the wider multi-disciplinary team.
- You will model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Social Worker/ Occupational Therapist with NMC,HCPC or SWE
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
