**About the Role**:
Burton Cottages is a residential home specialising in supporting people with Autism and other complex support needs. Based in Robertsbridge, a idyllic countryside town in the heart of East Sussex

We are looking for Positive Behaviour Support Workers to join our well
- established and dedicated support the Burton Cottages team. In this role you will lead on the implementation of Positive Behaviour Support plans for the people we care for, championing positive person-centred support that helps to enhance quality of life and minimise behaviours of concern.

All of our homes are full of energy and we work hard to empower those we support to learn new skills to help them live life independently. This means that every day part of your role will include supporting many fun activities at home, elsewhere on site and out in the community.

We will support you with regular access to and supervision with a
Positive Behaviour Support Specialist as well as with your line manager, and the opportunity to complete a L3 accredited PBS qualification.

**As a PBS Support Worker should be**:

- Able to work with the PBS team to create and follow behavioural management strategies
- Able to source and establish an activity planner.
- Experienced in de-escalating difficult situations in a calm, positive and proactive way
- Physically fit
- Not be afraid to try new things
- Resilient

**As a member of our team, you should have**:

- Experience of working with people with a learning disability and/or Autism
- Experience of working with people who may display behaviours of concern
- A willingness to learn new skills and receive feedback through regular observations and coaching sessions from our PBS Specialist team
- A willingness to complete PBS qualifications - this requires at least L2 English and Maths
- Ideally have a driving licence and be able to drive a company vehicle.
