The Finance Business Partner role is based within our Devonport Royal Dockyard business area.

Comprising of 14 dry docks, four miles of waterfront and 25 tidal berths, Devonport is the base for numerous surface vessels as well as the base and refit centre for the Trafalgar-class nuclear-powered submarines. Devonport has also recently been selectedas the base port for the Navy's new Type 26 frigates and will become the maintenance centre for the future submarine programme.

**The role**

**The difference our new Finance Business Partner will make**:
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary; where you'll be partnering with the operations teams, to provide insight and analysis in delivering improvement projects and ensuring that the transformation programmes deliver value.

Day to day, you'll be undertaking financial assessments of current and future opportunities, such that a full and complete understanding of risk and opportunity is presented to management. Furthermore, you're expected to consolidate all financial informationfrom across the business and produce reports for the aggregation of financials for the reporting structure.

**Essential Experience**
- You're required to have business partnering experience, with demonstratable experience of working in an operational environment to analyse, challenge and help deliver value solutions.
- Knowledge of financial accounting and statutory requirements within a European country or region.
- You must be a fully qualified accountant.
- Exposure to transformational type environments would be advantageous.
- Ideally, you'll have experience working in a multinational corporation reporting to a Head of Finance, Finance Controller, Finance Director or CFO.
