Accounts Payable Assistant

**About the role**

A great opportunity is available in our Goods Not for Resale (GNFR) and Expenses team.Reporting to the Team Leader your role would be to ensure:

- all Employee expenses are checked and processed in an accurate and timely manner
- queries on Employee expenses are dealt with in a timely manner
- goods not for resale invoices received in the Finance Support Centre are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
- general finance administration and support
- cover for other team member accounts during periods of absence and holidays.
- other ad hoc requirements are completed as specified by your line manager.

**Role Responsibility**
- Reviewing employee expenses, checking and processing on a daily basis. Any queries are to be on these expenses are to be dealt with as quickly as possible.
- Date stamping and distributing all invoices received into the Finance department
- Fully matching invoices depending on the purchase order and receipt being correct
- Logging rejections on the day of receipt in the event of invoices received with incorrect purchase order numbers
- Logging unauthorised invoices on the spreadsheet on the date of receipt
- Holding Invoices whilst awaiting authorisation are to be checked on a daily basis and posted at the earliest opportunity
- Preparing invoices for external scanning to ensure full visibility of all invoices received.
