Finance Support Officer

We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our finance team on a part time basis.

We are looking for someone to positively contribute and maximise the recovery of service charges whilst also prioritising customer experience. You’ll establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, internal and external customers to ensure as a team we deliver excellent, efficient and accurate service

As a finance support officer, you’ll be responsible for managing, maintaining, reconciling of direct debit supplier accounts. This involves knowledge of double entry bookkeeping using Vision and Dynamics 365. You’ll also ensure that all service chargeable invoices are entered accurately and allocated to the correct entity, supplier, expense code, cost centre and street/block/UPRN. Update Utilities Database where coding changes are required including periodic changes of bulk utilities suppliers.

You’ll have excellent customer service and manage relationships with our external suppliers to ensure up to date and accurate information is received and work with them to improve processes. With a focus on excellent customer service, you’ll look after all incoming correspondence to the department.

You need to be educated to A level Standard (or equivalent)

You will have a reasonable level of IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate Excel, word and outlook) skills

Experience using Dynamics 365 would be advantageous

You’ll need to be an effective communicator, establishing and building relationships across the business to enable collaborative working where applicable.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be able to juggle conflicting priorities and juggle a demanding workload whilst retaining a good eye for detail.

You will need to be a good team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, as well as being a proactive, forward thinker with a flexible approach to hours worked.
