Team Leader Midwife

The post holder will utilise well developed leadership skills and specialist midwifery knowledge to:
1. Provide management and leadership throughout the 24 hours period, co-ordination of the shift and managing the service out of hours including liaising with the multidisciplinary team
1. Maintain adequate staffing levels, through deployment of staff including management of sickness absence and team performance
1. Support staff to provide all aspects of clinical midwifery care, with a focus on promoting positive outcomes for mother and baby, and the wider family including facilitating hospital, home and community settings care
1. The team leaders role will predominantly cover Community and outpatients services, however may include working collaboratively with midwifery led services

5. The role will require you to travel to mother and baby in the home either via London transport or own vehicle
- Provide safe and effective care to pregnant women during the antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum period
- Provide proactive and effective Leadership
- Expert Practitioner
- Work in partnership with women and their families
- Work collaboratively as a member of the Multidisciplinary team
- Highly developed communication skills in challenging situations in which there may be barriers to communication and changing circumstances
