Job Purpose:
To lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the curriculum for children aged 3-5 years, ensuring high-quality early education in line with the CFE and RtA frameworks. The role includes supporting staff development, maintaining a stimulating learning environment, and ensuring positive outcomes for all children.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead on the development and implementation of the curriculum for 3-5-year-olds, ensuring it meets the needs of all learners.

Ensure curriculum planning is child-centered, inclusive, and aligned with the CfE and RtA.

Support staff in delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of educational provision within the 3-5 age group.

Conduct regular observations and assessments, using data to inform planning and interventions including Staged Intervention paperwork.

Promote best practices in teaching, learning, and assessment.

Work in partnership with parents/carers to support children’s development.

Provide support to 3-5 team.

Contribute to the nursery Standards and Quality Report and Improvement Plan.

Work with nursery Manager to monitor and evaluate and ensure we are meeting our improvement plan targets.

Person Specification:
Essential:
HNC or above qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of the CfE and RtA curriculum and child development (ages 3-5).

Proven experience in early years settings with leadership responsibilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate and inspire a team.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,600.00 per year
