Willow Court is a Concierge Plus service comprising of 15 flats. Mencap provide the Concierge service and all tenants receive between 2 and 30 hours 1-1 support each week provided by various agencies.

As concierge staff we liaise with all relevant professionals and family members, attend reviews, MDT meetings etc. We keep the same records that we would in a supported living service (daily recordings, OP14, OP18 etc.) as well as the usual communication book etc. We organise activities; movie nights, games nights, coffee mornings, breakfast and lunch clubs etc.

The office at Willow Court is manned between the hours of 8am and 10pm. However, the concierge staff are on-call and available to respond to emergencies between the hours of 10pm and 8am.

There is only ever 1 concierge staff on duty at a time and they could be called to any area of the building or grounds when needed. However, if they leave the office, they carry with them a handset that is linked to the security system and the intercom and can be contacted through this at any time.

Security is very important at Willow Court due to the vulnerable nature of some of our tenants and the diverse lifestyle choices of some of the tenants. All visitors enter the building via and intercom system and this system is repeated at a second security door which separates the communal areas from the 15 flats. The entire building and grounds are covered by CCTV which the concierge are responsible for monitoring on a daily basis.

There is CCTV monitors both in the office and in the staff room so the building can be monitored at all times.

The service itself has a large spacious entrance and hallway, communal lounge, touchdown space, accessible toilet and office on the ground floor.
