JBT currently has a great opportunity for an Assembly Supervisor to join the Proseal team.
**Shift Pattern/Working Hours**:
Monday to Friday, with a 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day and two paid 15 minutes per day. A total of 40 hours per week.
Under the general direction of the Assembly Manager, the Assembly Supervisor will provide direction to shop floor personal, monitor the quality and output of work, ensure employees receive proper training, and address H&S/maintenance issues. Position will oversee and assist with the daily assembly operations including process and procedure improvement activities.
**The Opportunity...**:

- Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Provide guidance and direction to the production floor personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with JBT/ Proseal’s policies and applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce work start, break, and stop times of personnel.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to review requirements for the day including work, safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Accomplish production results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job outcomes; coaching, counselling, and initiating, coordinating, and enhancing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate end of shift results to Production Manager.
- Develop and maintain training programmes in conjunction with the Training Officer to ensure that all personnel have the necessary skills to perform their duties safely and productively.
- Coordinate daily production activities and delegate assignments to production personnel. Control costs and OT budgets by assuring effective use of all resources, materials, and personnel.
- Communicate clear expectations to production personnel, keep them informed of matters pertaining to their job, and develop personal growth opportunities.
- Supports employee development and assesses performance of team members.
- Monitor employee work performance relative to expectations and maintain workflow through the production areas.
- Ensure product/service quality through proper utilization of resources and adherence to applicable standards/controls. Monitors and enables internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Always maintain a safe and clean work environment through BBSO, and continuously improve areas which impact on team member safety and by educating and directing personnel.
- Ensure through inspection and PUWER, equipment and tools are compliant, in good working order and available for use when required.
- Continuously evaluate and modify the workshop layout and workflow for increased throughput and productivity.
- Facilitate and record equipment inspections and file maintenance requests as necessary.
- Lead activities to resolve issues and problems, identifying root cause and effecting appropriate corrective action. SQDC/KPI’s.
- Supports new product introduction activities.
