1. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing repairs, electrical maintenance, painting, and carpentry work as needed to ensure the safety and functionality of the care nursing home facilities.

2. Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs and address any issues promptly to minimize disruption to resident care.

3. Assist in the implementation of preventative maintenance programs to prolong the lifespan of equipment and facilities and reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns.

4. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance schedules, and inventory of supplies.

5. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff members and residents, prioritizing urgent issues to ensure resident safety and comfort.

6. Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of personal protective equipment.

7. Collaborate effectively with other departments and external contractors to address maintenance needs beyond the scope of in-house capabilities.

8. Communicate maintenance updates and issues to management as needed, ensuring transparency and timely resolution of maintenance issues.

9. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and maintenance equipment, to ensure efficiency and safety in performing duties.

10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and efficiency in maintenance processes and procedures to support the overall goals and mission of the nursing care home.

**Salary**: £11.20-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.00 per week
