We have an exciting opportunity for an events coordinator at a modern science business park in the Cowley area of Oxford. This role would suit an experienced corporate receptionist who is ready to move into a role with additional event co-ordination responsibilities or an events coordinator who is looking for a new challenge.
You will relish the opportunity to deliver an exemplary tenant service and visitor experience, understanding the importance of creating a community vibe for all working at the business park. You should be well presented with proven relevant experience and confident to take ownership of this busy and varied role.
Hours - 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday
Salary - £26,000
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Event support**
- Assist the community manager in planning and executing various aspects of the member experience, including events, cultural programs, sponsorships and social impact initiatives.
- Assist in creating a curated events programme targeting specific audience types across the following areas fun, wellbeing and brain food
- Assist in creating carefully curated experiences, ranging from conversations with leaders in science and technology to social events and local networking opportunities
- Implement the wellness program and promote its benefits to everyone working at the park
- Manage social media channels to engage with the community effectively, monitoring analytics to improve engagement
- Manage events and content updates on the parks website to provide up to date information
- Develop strong working relationships with external events management, marketing and PR teams for collaboration on community initiatives
- Assist with general administration, including raising purchase orders and requesting quotes
- Confidently represent the business park when the community manager is not available
**Reception responsibilities**
- Manage and take ownership of the reception area to ensure the ambiance reflects the clients’ and tenants’ expectations
- Provide a warm welcome to everyone visiting the business park
- Manage the booking system for meeting rooms, ensuring each room is ready for the next meeting
- Foster positive relationships with those working at the business park, addressing their needs and concerns promptly
- Order and manage merchandise inventory, ensuring availability for all
**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
- Proven experience in an events or front of house reception role
- Personable and proactive with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service
- Proactive, self-motivated and thrive in an environment where you are required to multitask
- Ability to work autonomously and implement agreed strategies and budgets
- Excellent written / verbal communication skills and able to confidently communicate with key stakeholders
- Competent Microsoft office user, with a knowledge of how to manage social media platforms
