Job Description: We are looking for a diligent and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our team at Sadlergates Catering. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth and efficient culinary operation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Assist the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and washing ingredients.
- Wash dishes, cutlery, and cooking equipment, both by hand and using commercial dishwashers.
- Keep the kitchen and wash-up areas tidy and organized at all times.
- Empty and clean bins regularly, ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Support the kitchen team in receiving and storing deliveries.
- Assist in cleaning food storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
- Assist with event setups and breakdowns as required.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure a smooth flow of operations during busy periods.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
- Flexibility to work during weekends and potentially on weekdays for special events.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn and take on various tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
