Green Careers Placement Facilitator - Supporting Young People into Meaningful Green Jobs Are you passionate about sustainability, inclusion, and supporting young people into rewarding careers? We’re looking for two Part Time Green Careers Placement Facilitator to help create and support green job placements for young people aged 16-30 in Newport or Swansea. You'll play a key role in connecting young people with inclusive employers, helping to build a fairer, greener future for Wales.

**Where does this role fit in?**

This role is part of the Green Careers Pathway, a five-year employability programme supported by the National Lottery and the Dormant Assets Fund - Sustainable Steps Wales. It’s focused on supporting young people into green careers, especially those who may have faced barriers to employment.

You’ll work closely with:

- Young people and Employability Work Coaches to match interests with suitable green placements.
- Employers across the public, private and voluntary sectors to help them develop inclusive, supported opportunities.
- Local community organisations and delivery partners to ensure placements are safe, accessible, and meaningful.

You’ll also provide mentoring to both participants and employers throughout the placement journey.

**What skills and experience do you need?**

Experienced in coordinating placements, apprenticeships or employability programmes.
Confident working with young people from diverse or marginalised backgrounds.
Able to offer mentoring, coaching or personalised support.
Passionate about inclusive practice and equality in the workplace.
Great communicators who can build relationships with employers and young people alike.
Comfortable working independently and solving problems creatively.
Curious about sustainability and the green economy - prior knowledge is a bonus but not essential.

**What are the pay and benefits?**
- 2 x part-time posts at 22.5 hours per week
- One role based in Newport
- One role based in Swansea
- The full-time equivalent (FTE) salary for these roles, based on a 37 hour week, is £29,483
- Mileage is paid at 45p per mile
- These posts are fixed term for 5 years in line with the Projects funding.
- 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays, rising to 30 days with length of service (Pro rata)
- An enhanced DBS is required for these role which we pay for
