An exciting opportunity has arisen at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust for a Band 4 Therapy Technical Instructor within the Medicine and Surgery Team.

You are required to have significant experience as a Band 2 or 3 Therapy Assistant. Experience of working in an intermediate care, in-patient or community based setting is essential. An understanding of the role of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and social work within these settings is required. You will also need to have good time management, prioritisation skills, flexibility and ability to use your own initiative in the completion of tasks. The work can be physically demanding but very rewarding.

You will be working alongside the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, carrying out a range of assessments/reviews of patients in an acute setting. You will be undertaking a range of tasks independently within a supported environment. You must be able to work flexibly depending on the needs of the service.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary

In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
