Are you currently Head of Learning and Development or Learning and Development Manager or L&D Business Partner, experienced in developing and implementing a full L&D strategy for the high performing business? If so, I'd be keen to hear from you.
This brand-new role is a great opportunity to put your own stamp on what 'great' Learning and Development should look like. Reporting into the Chief People Officer you will play an integral part in the business' continued growth and success.
This role will offer you a rare opportunity to develop and grow a highly effective and high performing L&D function to meet my client's future needs. It also offers a supportive and friendly environment in which to do so.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Learning and Development:

- Develop and implement a learning and development strategy and programme that is aligned with the group's objectives.
- Have a full understanding of the various business units and their specific training requirements and conduct a full training needs analysis if necessary.
- Implement and oversee various types of learning initiatives including e-learning, blended learning, coaching, mentoring, 'train the trainer' and apprenticeships.
- Devise metrics to track ROI, assess the success of any initiatives and modify where necessary.
- Track budgets, negotiate contracts, build and maintain relationships with third-party training providers.
- Assess the success of the development plans and refine where necessary.
- Review the use of psychometric tools across the Group and make recommendations for the future (for assessment and/or development).
- Act as the principal point of contact for anyone with questions about learning and development or any LMS system.
- Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders; particularly the Operations training delivery team.
- Work with the Chief People Officer to devise a talent management and succession toolkit; leading its implementation and development actions arising from it.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in learning trends, changes in learning theory and developments in learning technologies
- Support the career development of the Training Team and wider HR Team.
- Partner with the Executive and Senior Management Teams.
- Effectively manage a Training Content Coordinator.
Key requirements for the Head of Learning and Development:

- You will already be a L&D practitioner with proven background in L&D.
- Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing a highly effective and fit for purpose L&D strategy.
- Be fully up to speed and embrace new learning initiatives.
- This opportunity would suit someone who is already operating at this level or someone who wants to further advance their L&D career to date.
- Ideally you will have evidence of building high performing teams and developing people to meet their potential.
