**Job Purpose**

Responsible for the effective leadership of a production team, ensuring the control of materials and labour cost for that team to deliver set KPI’s.

**Role Key Accountabilities**
- To lead and motivate the team and deliver quality product safely
- Responsible for managing people in the team; including individual and team performance, attendance and capability
- Communicate well with team and report on performance of the team
- Ensuring the line runs efficiently by managing run rate, labour cost, reducing waste and downtime
- Support continuous Improvement initiatives and help implement, drive and embed the changes into the team members / department

**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Passionate about managing and motivating people
- Good working knowledge of a food manufacturing environment, including all process steps within the factory
- Excellent problem solving skills with perseverance to see a problem through to resolution
- Ability to coach mentor and develop team members
- Attention to detail, commitment to high standards
- Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and analytical skills, able to manage priorities and workflow
- Ability to complete standard work and support the implementation of multiple improvement projects within a team-based, fast-paced environment
